I have been working on a series of West Texas landscapes. Mainly pastures and cotton fields in our area.
The land holds such mystique and wonder to me, and it is part of my heritage and soul.
This painting has a warmer color palette and evokes the summertime heat and cicada calls of midsummer in West Texas.
48”x48”, Acrylic on 120-year-old, hand-written Texas deed documents glued to gallery wrapped canvas.
Contemporary Texas Artist, Terry Browder, based in Abilene, adds another west Texas landscape painting to his gallery of Santa Fe style art.
The acrylic painting on canvas has 120-year-old historic documents embedded in the painting by gluing them to the canvas prior to the first brush stroke.
This unique technique, pioneered by Terry, is his trademark style of artwork. The piece is the perfect choice for wall hanging in a fine home to inspire an atmosphere of the old southwest within a modern art setting.
This is a large west texas landscape painting, measuring 48″ x 48″.
